I`m not that into pink, but I saw a pink and white cake and so I had to try. =)No special occasion, just felt like playing. Taking Lizzy`s idea of a checkerboard cake but because I`m a simple kind of girl, I went with a square cake instead of a round..
The china plate is a very precious piece. After my grandmother Dueck passed away, the grandchildren were able to have a few of her things and I ended up with a couple of her china plates.

Crafting with Braydon
Just lately he's getting into crafts. I came across a craft for children and trying it out with Braydon and it's a hit! Masking tape, flyers, and scissors.. wrap the masking tape around his wrist sticky side out..I handed over the scissors and flyers, and let him cut and place the paper snips all over the tape bracelet...simple yet so much fun. It keeps my boy busy for awhile.. have fun!

shabby chic
I'm so excited about my find! hehe.. After a coat of paint it'll be perfect.. white? blue? even pink?? probably not pink, but something light because the basement is white and I want it to blend in with the wall..looks like some drawers need to be rearranged. anyway, I'm off to fill them with all my "stuff" for now...the painting part is a project for spring/summer I am thinking.
I finally will have my very own crafting/sewing space..

I couldn't bring myself to throw away empty spools..=) I came across a craft with spools, and immediately had to try something! Wouldn't they make cute favours? It would take awhile to collect enough.. better get sewing..haha
You need - empty spool, tea stained paper, fabric scrap, string, and a lovely note.
