evening we headed to the country for a little picnic. It was for my baby's 3rd
Birthday.

Birthday cake in a jar was so simple but it was a hit for the little man.

Our boys... they are such a blessing.
I have these images in my head from when I was a child at my grand-
parents farm, of tables with crisscross legs. First I whipped up a little bench,
and then the table.
These are all the materials I used.(later my hubby added
2 small boards for more support)
Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the legs
before they were nailed to the table.

The boards underneath the table for added support.
I was going to paint the legs black, add a different color and
then go about distressing the legs, but decided
to stop after the black coat. It's different from what I would
normally do but I like it!

Adorable! Lovely photoshoot too! Just whipped up a bench huh? It'll take me just a week to decide to make one and another month to do it! :) I'm impressed...

I do like both! And I have always wanted to make cake in jars; after all I have enough jars of all sizes to do so!
Love your little table and your photos are warm and wonderful! :)
I wish I had babies to do something that creative and cute! Your boys must have a blast!
